Project Overview

Signature Kitchen Suite embraces a new generation of forward-thinking cooks, combining their passion for food with their appreciation for innovation. Aligning with their brand philosophy, the design of their popup booth needed to incorporate innovative thinking, purposeful design and leading-edge technologies.

LG/SKS wanted to highlight the brand’s designer-led, chef-endorsed approach to kitchen appliances through an immersive experiential booth design. They wanted to lean into the “True to Food” slogan and sustainability through a farm-to-table concept incorporating fresh ingredients, and sustainable materials throughout a reusable popup booth design.

The SKS booth told a compelling brand story that highlighted innovation and elevated the space beyond a traditional booth into a captivating, memorable environment. The experience encouraged social sharing to extend reach and impressions for the brand. The booth showcased both the professional and transitional series design lines through two distinct display areas. Live cooking demonstrations featuring a working gas range were central to the experience, with careful consideration given to gas line placement to ensure a seamless booth layout and natural traffic flow.

Strategy

Our team collaborated with LG to identify digital experience goals and objectives. We identified optimal technology solutions and provided a content strategy to maximize it's potential.

LG challenged us with an aggressive timeline and budgetary constraints that were countered with a desire to create an immersive experience that would attract and engage show visitors. We showcased LG’s innovative appliances while telling the True to Food story on the latest LG display technology.

Creative Technology

Transparent display technology is reshaping spatial design. Layering digital content across multiple displays in physical spaces augments experiences seamlessly.

We combined the latest Transparent OLEDs, ultra-stretch displays, and interactive touch-screen experiences. The use of Transparent OLED glass displays allowed for views into the booth, while creating an intriguing visual experience by showing various food journeys.

Our digital experiences brought real people’s stories and their food journeys to life. Our custom designed digital content effectively merged technology with aesthetics. Whether through interactive displays or video testimonials, this personalized experience highlighted the impact of SKS appliances. Additional branding and dynamically fed event schedules were strategically placed on the outer sides, ensuring visibility and recognition from any angle.

The SKS Booth presented a farm-to-table concept built into the kitchen island, delivering fresh ingredients at the point of preparation while reinforcing LG’s forward-thinking technology. Celebrity chef demonstrations at an outdoor cooking island created excitement, making it an ideal platform for product launches and clearly showcasing the SKS line through elevated design and performance.

Achievements

LG/SKS experienced a large turnout at their booth and incredible lead capture participation driven largely by the digital experiences in the popup design.

The audience at the IDS show was so drawn and interested in a company that leverages innovative design and immersive storytelling experiences to present their product offering. Our booth truly stood out and was recognized with a Gold IDS2024 Award for Best Booth Design, generating great PR, social, and industry awareness.

The buzz created by hosting celebrity chef demonstrations in an outdoor concept cooking island was the perfect way to demonstrate the innovative SKS appliances. All sessions were completely booked and crowds extended into the show aisles.
